iPSC Disease Model Build Advisory
The lineage and source decision, the culture format, the readouts, and the QC gates that separate disease from differentiation noise.
- For
- A biotech building or buying an iPSC neuron, glia or immune model
- Deliverable
- Model Design Package and validation plan
- Timeline
- 4–8 weeks, two phases
- Price
- Design from $14,000; validation review from $17,500
Who it is for
A biotech building or buying an iPSC neuron, astrocyte or microglia model. Either you are about to spend a year differentiating cells in house, or you are about to buy someone else’s cells and inherit their variability.
Scope
One model, through design and then through a validation review after your team has run it. Each phase is priced separately, and phase two can convert into study oversight.
Inputs
The disease hypothesis and the phenotype you need to see, your current differentiation protocol or vendor quotes, headcount and instrument access, and any pilot data.
Deliverable
The Model Design Package:
- the lineage and source decision, in-house differentiation against commercial iPSC-derived cells, with a vendor comparison
- culture format and timeline
- readouts and the high-content imaging panel
- phenotype-validation criteria and the QC gates that separate disease biology from differentiation noise
- budget and headcount ask
- a vendor and CRO shortlist
- a fit-for-purpose validation plan
Timeline
Four to eight weeks across the two phases: design, then a validation review once your team has run it.
What is excluded
Differentiating cells, running plates, or any bench work. I design it, your team or your vendor builds it, and I review what comes back.
Referred out
Immunohistochemistry (IHC); live-animal imaging; electron microscopy. I keep a short list of people who do this work and I refer without a fee.
